About Alison Steiner
Alison Steiner graduated from.U.C.Berkeley with a field major in Humanities. Her emphasis was on art and literature. After college, she worked in the non profit sector for some time but wanted to do something more creative. While her daughter was in school, she started an art on a cart program and began to teach art to students in grades k-5 since their school district was sorely lacking an art program. Alison has been painting and drawing since her childhood and works in many mediums but considers herself predominantly a watercolor artist. Her love of nature and empathy with animals is the creative force that drives her. In her work, she seeks to express the emotions and intelligence of animals and their bond with humans.
